Sunset! I love it when the weather turns it on and gives us some dramatic light. Andrea and Rish made the most of this beautiful late summer evening. We shot right up until a huge electrical storm hit, finishing with a cool down in the pool in the rain before the thunder and lightning arrived. 😀

Recently I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful baby girl not long after she was born, and her family. As always with birth photography, there is the chance that I don't make it there in time. This was one of those times. However I was still there to photograph those early moments, and the first time she met her siblings and extended family. There's nothing better than the love and excitement when a baby is born. 🥰

I very much neglect my social media these days! I need to have a catch up and show you what I've been up to lately. There's been weddings, portraits and more, plus a lot of complex editing for photographers in NZ and overseas. I love the editing work but can't share most of it! It's nice that AI hasn't completely won yet in that space, it does a terrible job of some of the tricky editing.

Speaking of AI, this is an AI-created ad... I do NOT like using AI images but had to get this done in a hurry. This is something exciting that I will be shooting in a couple of weeks! If you are a competitor give me a call or email me if you want to get in on the earlybird package. :)

Well, it's nothing like the INCREDIBLE images coming out of the South Island, but I was thrilled to see the aurora again! I think I missed the main show, but I caught a bit.

It's always been a bucketlist item to see the Aurora Australis, and the Northern Lights. Well tonight I managed to tick the first one off. I never dreamed I would see such a show in Waikato. Absolutely stunning. While it was visible to the naked eye for a couple of hours, peaking with an amazing light show at around 8:30pm, a long exposure on a camera captures it so much better.

*Fundraiser Raffle*

It's fundraiser time again! This time it's for Te Awamutu Junior Hockey .

The popularity of hockey is growing fast, and this year TAJH has 4 teams! Some of the shirts the teams got a couple of seasons ago were much smaller than expected, so funds are needed to get some bigger shirts. This will go part way towards that (and there may be another raffle coming with different photos). 😊 The minimum order is approx $1200, but with the boosted number of kids we may need more shirts than that.

I'm selling 100 raffle tickets for each of these two photos. If you win, you can choose either a 100x45cm wrapped canvas of your chosen print, or a 40x20cm fine art paper print. Funds raised less the cost of the physical prints will be donated to TAJH.

Tickets are $4 each, or 3 for $10. Please message me for payment details, which photo (Mt Pirongia or Mt Kakepuku) you'd like a ticket/tickets for, and I will let you know your ticket number(s).

Hi everyone. Thank you for your patience waiting for the draw. And thank you so much for helping out Hamilton Roller Skating Club. We've raised over $600 towards the repairs.

So many people bought tickets for both photos, and tickets ran out sooner for Pirongia than Kakepuku, so whoever wins can decide which photo they'd prefer, no matter what the draw was originally for. 😊

I used a random number generator. The first one drawn for Pirongia (or Kakepuku if you prefer) was number 71. And the second for Kakepuku (or Pirongia if you prefer) was number 53!

Congratulations to the two winners, I haven't had a look to see who they are yet on the list, but I'll do so shortly and name you in the comments. 😊
