This week, the cast and crew of "The Thrill of Love" came together offstage as well as on, donating bags to " Love Grace Handbag Appeal" in support of women and families affected by domestic abuse.

This show tells a powerful story — and we believe theatre doesn’t just entertain, it amplifies voices, sparks conversation, and strengthens community. Raising awareness of domestic abuse is only part of it; standing behind real support services is what truly matters.

Proud of this team for showing that storytelling and community care go hand in hand. 💛

Throwback to 2015 and our epic Northland adventure 🌊☀️

Stumbled across this one lonely snapshot of Cape Reinga… which absolutely does NOT do the place justice. I swear it was way more magical in real life. Bigger skies. Bluer water. More wind attacking my hair.

We did take about 437 stunning photos… but they’re all living on that one external hard drive we apparently can’t wake up from its 10-year nap. It’s basically in witness protection at this point.

Guess we’ll just have to head back and “retake” them. For documentation purposes, obviously. 😉

Wow — this is another place that absolutely deserves at least a day-trip detour: Castlepoint Lighthouse.

Despite massive delays from roadworks (we even had to be escorted through one section!), we finally made it — and oh boy, was it worth it.

From the iconic Castle Rock to the North Island’s tallest lighthouse (23m high and standing 52m above sea level), the views are simply incredible. Add in the stunning scenery of the Wairarapa’s east coast and you’ve got a spot that completely steals your heart. 🌊✨

Definitely one for the must-visit list!

Cape Palliser – the southernmost lighthouse on the North Island 🌊
Pro tip: use your common sense, not just your GPS… unless your goal is to start swimming toward the South Island.
Very remote. Very rugged. VERY windy (like “reconsider your life choices” windy).
And the seal colony? Absolute legends — loud, smelly, and completely unbothered by the weather.
Wild, windy, and 100% worth it.

Te Mata Peak, what a view! Purists can hike it — we took the four-wheel option 😉
A little hairy at times, especially when you’re face-to-face with a tourist minibus negotiating its own interpretation of road rules 😅

Second stop - Napier - and one has to visit a winery or two - our first one was Craggy Range - what a great experience and the views on the Te Mata Peak was sure worth the trip.
