Hi everyone! We have sold and the studio at 7 Rata Avenue Tapawera has closed.
We have bought a place near Motueka, closer to family and the sea, but I can still see the beautiful mountains.
I only have a third of the studio/workshop space here, but that won't limit creativity!
The gallery workshop is still open by arrangement if you want to view or buy originals, art or photographic prints or cards, or talk about art commissions or photo shoots - just text 027 856 4014. I'm unlikely to reinstate regular opening hours - just keeping things relaxed and informal.

Hi everyone! The studio may have been quiet this winter but things are still happening. I've been working hard on bird photography, post-processing, photographic and digital art, and at some point I will do some bird paintings from my own photographs. The image of the morepork is made by combining two of my pictures digitally with a fine art aesthetic. The morepork actually lives in an animal park, so I have "set it free" by returning it to an outdoor environment. And yes, moreporks are occasionally active during the day! I have also created a similar picture in a night setting.

I hope to have the studio open over Labour Weekend 2020, and it is still open at any time by arrangement. Regular hours just aren't feasible at the moment. But I'd love you to pop in and have a look. I will have a bird photography exhibition at some point.

We are closing for the season a couple of weeks early for (happy) family reasons. We continue to be open by arrangement until next spring - phone or text 027 856 4914 and we'll be happy to open the gallery for you. Thank you for everyone who visited this summer, who bought art and photos, who told their friends, and who left the lovely comments in the visitors book. We have enjoyed meeting you all.

BUSINESS HOURS
You can visit the studio any time by arrangement. Send us a message above, or call/text 027 856 4014. You can find us 100m off the highway at 7 Rata Avenue, Tapawera, 58km from central Nelson or 46km from Motueka, up the beautiful Motueka Valley. Make a day of it! As well as art, there's great scenery, trout fishing, huge hop plantations, walk and cycle tracks and the magnificent Kahurangi National Park. There are a couple of great coffee stops out this way, and the pub meals are family friendly and great value.
