Another epic wedding wrapped up, this time at Cossars Wineshed in Tai Tapu. Easy to see why it’s one of Canterbury’s standout venues. Sun-drenched vineyard, Mediterranean-style courtyard, olive trees, and that rustic French feel. It’s a dream spot for couples and such a good place to shoot as a photographer.

It was a very hot day and we were all melting in that harsh sun. The light was strong and the shadows even stronger, which definitely made things a challenge from behind the camera.

I always meet my clients before their wedding to go through the timeline of the day, making sure everything runs smoothly and helping to calm their nerves. But to be honest, I’m always nervous too!!

Before the ceremony, my brain is spinning with nerves: What if I miss the shot? What if I trip over my own feet? What if my camera suddenly decides today is the day to retire? There’s so much to focus on during the ceremony, but the best part is what comes after — we get to celebrate together. The nervousness melts away for everyone, and the party can finally begin!!
