Before little Ronnie ever opened his eyes to the world, his name already carried love

Named after his Grandad Ron - a man deeply cherished, deeply missed, and spoken of with the kind of affection that never fades , this little boy carries more than a name. He carries a legacy of love

And isn’t that the most human thing of all?

That even in our grief, we keep loving 💛🪽

We weave the people we’ve lost into the lives of those who come after them.

Into stories.
Into memories.
Into names -

So that a laugh is never truly silent
A presence is never truly gone
A life well loved continues to ripple through generations

As I watched this whānau gather around their precious boy, I couldn’t help but think about the quiet threads that connect us all

The grandparents who should still be here
The stories waiting to be told
The love that stretches across time, refusing to end

Because this isn’t just a photograph of a baby- It’s a photograph of remembrance - Of whakapapa

Of a family carrying someone they love forward in the gentlest way possible

A tiny baby boy named Ronnie.

A new beginning carrying the echo of a beautiful man

And somewhere in that space where grief and love meet, there is something profoundly beautiful - The understanding that while a life may end, love never does.

It simply changes shape 🥹🤍

I started a project recently Everyday Wild Wonderful Beautiful -
I started it so on days when everything felt heavy… when the world looked dull and my mind wouldn’t rest.

So I made a quiet promise to myself- to look up, just once a day, and find something worth staying for… something to anchor me, to keep me grateful, even when it felt hard.

Not the big things.
Not the perfect things.
Just something… real.

A shadow on the ground.
Light through leaves.
A moment that almost slipped past unnoticed.

Because sometimes healing isn’t loud-
it’s choosing to see,
choosing to stay,
choosing to be grateful anyway.

And slowly, gently… the world began to soften again.

These photos aren’t just images-
they’re proof that even in the dark, there is always something wild, something wonderful, something beautiful… waiting to be seen.

I didn’t find the light… I started noticing it was there all along.
