A couple of quick ones from the South Island Hound Club Lure Coursing judged meet today. Beaut day for it ☀

17/10/2026

Hey there Lure Coursers! I’m looking forward to another day out in the field tomorrow. I know you are all hanging out for photos from the last meet… they are still happening, don’t worry. You may have seen my post yesterday, which explains I’ve had a bit of a ‘meh’ time lately and editing has been on the back burner a bit, but hanging out with you guys lifts my spirits so I will be there with bells on. I’m incredibly grateful for your support and patience. See you all there!

🧡 The irony of Mental Health Awareness Week…

Of all the weeks for my mental health to take a doozy nosedive, apparently this was the one 🤦‍♀️ The timing is impeccable, really.

Jokes aside, it’s been a tough week. Motivation has been MIA, exhaustion has kicked my butt, and my editing has taken a bit (more) of a backseat.

I know I’m often apologising for how long photos take, and the truth is, I sometimes stretch myself too thin trying to juggle everything. I love what I do, but I’m also human, and sometimes something has to give.

So if you’re waiting on photos, thank you for your patience. I’m doing my best, even when my best looks a little different from week to week.

A little reminder that you can love what you do, be passionate about it, and still have days where just getting through the day is enough. To anyone else out there who is affected by mental health, whether it be personal struggle or that of someone you care about, I see you. Let’s keep the conversation going all year round, not just this week.

Side note - if you’re on the look out for me at a dog event, you have to look for brown hair now, not orange 😂

Side side note - no I didn’t take a selfie while driving, it’s just the usual post salon thing us girls do 🫣

🐾 Calling all pet-related businesses 🐾

I’m reaching out to our amazing pet-loving community on behalf of Gail at North Canterbury Veterinary Clinics to see if any individuals or businesses would be willing to donate prizes and/or products, vouchers or goodies for hampers for the pet dog ring at the upcoming Amberley A&P Show!

Funds raised will go towards the NCVC Angel Fund, which helps animals in need access veterinary care.

Gail from NCVC played a huge role in helping my own girl, Cora, pictured, on her road to recovery following her leg amputation. I’ll always be grateful for the care, support and compassion shown to her, so being able to give a little something back and help other animals in need feels incredibly important to me.

I’d love to rally together as a community and support the team that does so much for our animals. Whether you can donate a small product, a voucher, a service or a larger prize, every contribution would be greatly appreciated and help make these hampers a success 🐕

If you’re a pet-related business and would like to contribute, please contact Gail Kenyon at [email protected] 🧡
And if you know a business that might be keen to help, please tag them below or share this post 🫶🏻 Thanks team

The South Island Hound Club had a Lure Coursing Fun Day today, and a fun day it was! What an amazing turn out, and a real range of breeds too. Here's a few sneak peaks for now! You are welcome to purchase these ones now, but of course, there will be more to chose from!
Which is your favourite?

Final album from Lure Coursing last month. This is the CATs. Hounds and candids have been posted previously.
$15 each if you’d like to purchase 😊
Next work on album is CCATS hoopers/games followed by Waimak last weekend. And as of this Sunday will also have more lure coursing to add to that!
Hopefully the technical issues I’ve been facing with my PC the last little while are sorted so I can smash the next lot out relatively quickly.
