This is not about how pretty it is… this is about how EPIC is to see the Tasman Sea squeezing through the sounds of Milford from above 1400mts. Many countries have stunning places and maybe bigger mountains but believe me… not every country gives you the chance to walk through mountains of this altitude with glaciers on top just a few kms from the Sea shoreline. That’s why New Zealand landscapes are insane!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yellow Eyed Penguin, the rarest on earth and the 4th largest penguin on the list, endemic to New Zealand and its Antarctic islands, not easy to spot and a beautiful animal ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Two moments in the day of this Yellow Eyed Penguin 🐧.
A good morning strech to oxygen those muscles, and a tough walk back home after a whole day working hard to find food for him and feed the chicks that are waiting in the nest🐣.

The fact of staying there for a long time just observing and trying to understand the behaviour of mother nature is not easy for a guy like me that is so anxious and wants the things happen fast, but this kind of activities are the one that brings me calm.

Like I said, I always try to understand mother nature… “why that is like that?” “Why is that there” “why species are endangered” “is this a native species?”, etc etc… I can be the whole day doing these kind of questions to my head or to people in case there is someone next to me.
So yes, this time couldn’t be different and one of the questions I made to myself was “WHY JUST ONE AND NOT MANY YELLOW EYED PENGUINS?”, and I was so lucky that there was a Ranger on-site so I did ask her the question… the first answer she gave me was that they are disappearing because humans are overfishing the oceans”, and I instantly asked “but what with that?” like a disappointed child, so she explained me that they go to the oceans in search of food for them and their chicks and the journey becomes too long because the lack of fish in the water that when they come back to the nest the chicks are dead. Was and is still hard to know this stuff but this is a truth, this is happening around the entire world, and is to hard to revert if we keep living the way we live.

After all I can say that I’m a proud vegetarian since May 2021 and I’m trying to reduce the amount of dairy products that I consume, and with this I feel I am making something to be a better human because after all we are a living being like all the other species, and we have to share this place with them.

🇪🇸Un poco de donde pasamos la noche el último fin de semana, solo esa cascada y las cataratas masivas del glaciar del Monte Earnslaw, no se necesita mostrar mucho más...

Escapada de fin de semana al Glaciar Earnslaw. Finde de hiking intenso y noche de camping ⛺️ al pie del Monte Earnslaw, con que poquito uno es feliz.

New Zealand great walks...🇳🇿

No hay foto que describa Abel Tasman y la aventura de estar casi una semana con solo la mochi, un poco de comida y la carpa.
Si, asi tal cual se ve, este parque nacional de Nueva Zelanda te hace viajar un poco a las mejores zonas tropicales del mundo, eso si... no pidan temperaturas semejantes, se esconde el sol y hace frio, en fin, seguimos estando en el sur bien al c**o del mundo. En las fotos se ve reflejada nuestra felicidad, lo único que tuvimos en toda la travesía, te parece poco? 🏝
