Introducing our third speaker KATY WINTON

Katy has that kind of infectious energy that you cant wait to be around with a fabulous sense of humour to boot. Her career is rooted as a world renown mountain bike athlete who has recently transitioned into broadcasting. We are really excited to talk to Katy about her ability to create a following from her adventures and what it feels like to move from one side of the sport to the other.

If you live down south, our second speaker needs no introduction. We are looking forward to chatting to Camilla Rutherford about her journey from ski photographer in the 2000s to the talented commercial photographer she is now. While juggling motherhood, Camilla also has some really interesting perspectives on creating a body of work, approaching photography as an art form, and really focusing on the message that you are trying to communicate. She has so much to add to this conversation and we can’t wait to have her join the DOF crew! 📷 (1) Deanna Gerlach

This is our favourite weekend of the year.

If you work in the outdoor creative industry and value good conversations, good people and a bit of inspiration, you’re in the right place.

We’re building something pretty special, and we’d love to have you along.

Last year we hosted the very first Depth of Field, an event for women in action sports and outdoor media. We knew it would be a good time with great people, and we hoped it would be the start of something really special.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up when this was just an idea and helped build a community that continues to grow and support one another in an industry that can sometimes feel isolating.

This year, we’re widening the circle. If you work in the wider outdoor industry, marketing, sales, media, or you’re an athlete wanting to grow your community and create epic content, this one’s for you.

A bunch of us are getting together to photograph the wahine at the Mulch Session and meet up. We’ll start the day with a coffee at and a chat about the fundamentals of creating an epic MTB image, then head up the hill together to shoot the action.

Big thanks for the support from our friends at .aotearoa , , and of course on this one. 🤍 Tickets are linked in Bio!
