Following on from my Tui post may I now introduce you to another of our native birds the Bellbird (also known by its Māori language names korimako, makomako and kōmako). Despite their beautiful song these birds have attitude and are very territorial especially regarding their food sources. These bellbirds definitely give that impression with their steely looks 😂. Love to hear your thoughts.

With the colder weather here in Queenstown at the moment we have been putting some sugar water out for the native birds and I was lucky enough to capture this beautiful Tui. He was quite interested in me with my camera and didn't fly off straight away which is very rare. Would love to hear what you think of these photos.
