I love how commercial photography has changed over the years. It used to be stiff and overly polished, everything posed, perfect, and a bit empty.

Now, we lean into what’s real. The imperfect details, the natural light, the way people actually move through a space.

When I shoot, I use the environment to fill the frame and a lower aperture to keep things soft and natural. It helps the image feel alive, not staged.

Photos that connect people to place!

Beautiful imagery does more than showcase a space. It tells a story and creates connection. The right photo can catch attention, evoke feeling, and allow people to envision themselves there.

Social media algorithms are designed to prioritise human interaction because that is what drives engagement. People respond to faces, movement, and emotion, the laughter at a shared table, the warmth of a morning coffee, the stillness of a view at sunrise.

That is why I focus on capturing moments that feel real. When people see others enjoying a space, it bridges the gap between image and experience. It turns a picture into an invitation.

At the same time, photos of the space on its own are just as essential. Empty scenes highlight the design, layout, and atmosphere, giving viewers a clear understanding of the environment. Without these, the lived-in shots lose context, and the space cannot be fully appreciated. Both types of imagery are equally important and work together to create a complete story of the space.

For me, that is the heart of great visual storytelling. It is about creating imagery that does not just show a place but makes people want to be there.

Showcase your property professionally! 📷

In the digital age, your property’s first impression is often made through its photos. High-quality, authentic imagery doesn’t just showcase your space… it builds trust, tells your story, and influences booking decisions.

I specialise in capturing the aesthetics and feel of your space, the atmosphere, the details, and the way people naturally interact with it. I create a large, diverse RAW collection and send it over for clients to select their favourites for final edits, so they get the exact shots they need for marketing, social media, and their website.

1. Declutter & clean – A tidy space makes a big impact.

2. Ensure staff knows ahead of time – Have them dress to feel their best.

3. For models, use friends or small groups – They interact naturally, creating more authentic photos.

4. For food, dress it from a set vantage point – One side facing the camera always looks best, consider this when preparing a dish.
