What a day! Had such a good time hanging out with Greg & Larissa and their crew. Even if we had allllll four seasons in one day, rain, wind and sun. It was hot, it was sweaty and it was cold all at the same time 🤷‍♂️ the wind even tried to blow us off the hill 🌬️
What a little legend their boy Jhye was as well, such a character! Loved a pose, some baby shark and sleeps anywhere and everywhere 😂

Don't mind me, just emerging from hibernation to let everyone know I'm alive and it's officially wedding season again!
Winter has kept me busy, with engagement and couple shoots. Been working on a few commercial projects between catching up with my couples.
Mostly though, just been working on my dad bod 🍔🎂🍻

Headed back to the Wairarapa to kick off the season with Lucy & Mike. We managed to get through ceremony before the wind and rain showed up, made for some excitement during group photos ☂️☂️
Seriously the most laid back, chill couple, nothing seemed to phase either Lucy or Mike. Bloody good day to have the first hit out of the season. Really excited to be back into it, looking forward to all the epic weddings we've got lined up.

-2023/2024 WEDDING SEASON WRAPPED-

Last week I delivered my final wedding gallery for the 23/24 season. With a bit of reflection and a few calculations later, I decided let's dive into a bit of a 'wedding season wrapped' featuring ME ✌️

24 WEDDINGS ATTENDED
- 18 weddings photographed
- 4 photographed as a second photographer
- 8 photobooth weddings (6 alongside photography)
- 24 weddings averaging rougly 100 guests, 2400 people I've had the pleasure of meeting this season 🤯

4281KM TRAVELLED
- 70 hours and 27 minutes spent driving
- That's almost 3 days of straight driving 🥹
- 237km average per wedding
- 3 hours 50 mins average per wedding
- 1 Helicopter flight
- RnV attended...a month late

10576 PHOTOS DELIVERED
- 18 weddings with roughly 10 hours per wedding spent editing
- 180 hours spent staring at a screen editing 🤓
- 10800 minutes working on 10576 photos
- 1.02 minutes average spent editing each image 💅

- 9 seasons of 'The Office' watched
- 3 seasons of 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' watched so far
- Very heavily invested in the Kendrick vs Drake beef 👀

On that note, a MASSIVE shout out to all my couples this past season. It's been one to remember! If it wasn't for all you legends, I wouldn't be in this position and able to do what I do. Thank you all so much 🙏

Not just some of it AULL of it 🍾🥂

I knew from the moment I got to know Felicia & Dan, their wedding was going to be next level! They absolutely did not disappoint, no detail had been spared. From the florals to the signage it was all immaculate 🤌

Let me tell you this was a PARTY! The whole vibe was so much fun and everyone understood the assignment. Twerking bridesmaids, quality bants, some tiktok and UGC intermissions, as well as a bit of dabbling in content creation! But wowee speeches got deep though, I dont think there was a dry eye in the room 🥹

On that note, Felicia is a fellow vendor making her mark has a content creator over at . Go and check her out, slide in her DMs, tell her I sent ya and get her locked in for your wedding next season! 🙌

I'm not quite sure the best way to describe the overall vibe this season, but the first words that come to mind are:
relaxed, epic, backyard, party.
Anna Allen & Jacks backyard Marty wedding was no exception 💃
I also want to say, this was Jack's parents property and how bloody stunning! 😱 They have their own lake, like gummmon! 😍
This wedding was a bit more close to home for me, Anna and I go waaaaaay back to good old Waicol days. Flatting at Lansdowne Cres, to RnV, to many late nights (or mornings) spent between the horse & hound and Joxers 😅 we also won't mention the first time I met Anna's dad John, that's a story for another time 😬

Couldn't have been more stoked to be a part of your day, so happy to see you make it official and take this step into the next chapter together.

I've had sooooo many amazing weddings this season and I can't wait to share them all!
For now, let's throwback to Alicia & Paul's stunning backyard rodeo wedding!

We had a mechanical bull, some bloody delicious food courtesy of the team 🤤, we had dogs, champion rodeo belts, pig hunting & possum trapping stories but most of all of we had a great bunch of people who were very excited to celebrate this epic couple get married. Paul's family in particular seemed very pleased, something about being unsure if it would ever happen 😅🤷‍♂️

Fun fact - Paul had broken his arm and only just had his cast cut off the day before their wedding. What a legend 💪
A super fun, relaxed, extremely hot day. The beers were going down a treat!

"Simply The Best" was the overall theme for this EPIC Gizzy wedding! Caitlin + Dan absolutely smashed it out of the park, everything was planned out perfectly and attention to detail was next level! 🙌
We definitely didn't let a little bit of wind get the better of us!

As to be expected, with a crew combined of rugby playing, farmer lads and stunning city girls with Scottish accents there was plenty of quality banter thrown around - everything from Lion Red socks to cyclops 👀 Land Rovers and golden retrievers, we had it all! 🍉🐕

A beautiful day, a stunning venue, amazing people, bloody good food and plenty of drinks flowing, what's not to love!

Thanks again for having me team, stoked to have been a part of your day 🙏

I'll tell you what, the Irish know how to party 💃🕺

Had such an epic day with Jodie + Bowen and their crew. It was a pretty small intimate wedding and It was extra special for me as Bowen was a childhood friend of mine, who I hadn't seen in maybe 20 years!
Tbh not much had changed, apart from that glorious mullet 🔥🥵

To which I have been 'advised' it is not in my best interest to even think about growing my own 🥹

I asked Jodie and Bowen who their vendors were for the day and you know what...I might as well just list Jodie for basically everything. Otherwise it was mostly close friends who were in charge of the other big parts of the day!

On that note, off to Gizzy this weekend to see if the Scottish can match the Irish 👀👀

I think we need to take a moment for the DRESS because 😱 how stunning right! 💃
Em absolutely smashed her colour scheme out of the park, her dress, her girls dresses, the bouquets, the giant flowers for ceremony! All of it perfection 🤌 *chefs kiss*

Also Dave needs a special mention because not only is he a top bloke, but he had hip surgery 3 weeks before their wedding. In between photos, he was hopping around on crutches. Captain Morgan & Fireball helped numb the pain though 🥴

Can anyone help me figure out what the Anderson brothers were pointing at? 🤷‍♂️

I had the absolute pleasure to close out 2023 and spend my birthday with these legends!
Aimee & Rob, did a bit of long distance planning for their shindig, as they live in Vietnam and it did not disappoint!
To say things went to plan would be an understatement, we had the most tempermental weather and had to cut ceremony short, as we got absolutely drenched.
On top of that, it was still 28° and humidity was cranked to 1000%! Me oh my yes boy, she was shhhweaty! 🥵

That didn't stop anyone having a bloody great time though, we had vows finalised during speeches, drinks were flowing and the food! 🤤🤌 Top tier!
The photobooth even got it's first official hit out too, and it went down a treat with the guests!

Shout out to all the epic couples, who let me third wheel it with them in 2023 and to the couples who I'll be seeing in 2024, let's fkn geddddit 💥

What a day! Safe to say we kicked off the season with a bang 💥

This is the 3rd wedding I've had the pleasure of documenting for this crew and it definitely did not disappoint. Plenty of banter, from bulges to hairlines, questionable v**e photo requests and everything in-between topped off with another scorcher in the Wairarapa 🔥
The bride even arrived in a Bentley 🤯

Thanks to Ash + Whana for having me along, what a treat it was. Such an epic way to celebrate 14 years! Congrats team 🍾🥂
