Dreamy sunsets in Raglan are already stunning, but this beautiful family made it even more magical. ♡

Summer is just around the corner, and I’m SO excited for those warm evenings, golden sunsets and maternity sessions by the water. 🌅

One of the questions I get asked the most is:

"What happens if my baby comes early? Will we miss our newborn photos?"

The answer is absolutely not.♡

This beautiful little guy decided to make an early arrival at just 35 weeks. We'd actually had to postpone Mum's maternity session a couple of times because of weather and other commitments, and the day before her rescheduled session, her waters unexpectedly broke.

Instead of maternity photos, they were welcoming their precious baby boy into the world.

After spending some time in NICU, they were finally home, settled, and ready for their newborn session. By then, he was around a month old, but because he had arrived early, he was still so tiny and wonderfully sleepy. In fact, we captured these photos just five days after his original due date, and we were still able to create these beautiful memories together.

Every baby's journey is different, and that's exactly why I keep my newborn sessions flexible. If your little one decides to arrive earlier (or later!) than expected, we will simply adjust your session to suit your family's needs.

Your baby's wellbeing and Mum's recovery will always come first. The photos can wait until everyone is home, safe, and ready.

To every expecting mum worrying about the "what ifs"... don't stress. We will make it work, and together we will capture this beautiful chapter whenever the time is right.

One of my favourite things about extended family sessions!

Everyone gets to be together.

The grandparents with all of their grandchildren. The siblings together again. The cousins making memories. The entire family in one frame... something that becomes more and more priceless as the years go by.

But it doesn't stop there.

Each individual family also gets their own family photos during the same session, so you walk away with beautiful images of your own little family as well as the bigger family memories.

It's also such a great way to make professional family photos more affordable. Instead of each family booking separate sessions, you can all come together, share the cost, and everyone receives gorgeous photos they'll treasure for years to come.

If you've been talking about organising family photos but haven't found the right time, this is your sign. Because getting everyone together is always worth it. 🤍

Expectation: Getting absolutely manhandled by your photographer 😂

Reality: A gentle hair, outfit, or pose adjustment.

Sometimes the smallest details can make the biggest difference in your final images, so I always do my best to help you look and feel amazing in front of the camera.

And don't worry I will always ask before touching you or making any adjustments. ♡
