A shark came for it. The ocean left its mark.

Zane found a fur seal flipper floating off Rakiura — taken by a shark, carried home with reverence. We pressed it into Indian ink. The print that came back was extraordinary — the softness of the skin, the bone structure, the web between the digits. A life, pressed into art.

It stopped people at the Rakiura Art Gallery. Now it lives on a hoodie.
