Sometimes the best part of travelling is the people you meet along the way.

I met this lovely couple from Israel on a day tour, and between sharing travel stories and having a great chat, I couldn’t resist taking a few spontaneous portraits of them. Warm light, easy smiles, and a beautiful connection made photographing them a pleasure.

Somehow, our conversation even led to an invitation to photograph their wedding in Israel! 💍😂 We had a laugh about it, but the photographer in me was already imagining the trip. A little wishful thinking… but who knows?

One of the highlights of this year's Steampunk Weekend was having the privilege of photographing the incredible HotMess Band—from their character-filled portraits around Oamaru's historic streets to the energy and chaos of their live performance.
There's something special about capturing a band both on and off the stage. The portraits showcased their personality, style, and connection as a group, while the live show was pure energy, music, and crowd interaction from start to finish.
A huge thank you to HotMess for trusting me with these moments, and to the amazing Steampunk community for creating such a unique atmosphere. Oamaru truly comes alive during this weekend.
