Lake Rotoiti, one of the Nelson Lakes on the South Island of New Zealand. Visiting here was breathtaking and every moment that passed was pure bliss. This is an HDR picture composed of 3 pictures to bring out the detail in the highlights and shadows. Each of those 3 pictures was created with 3 other pictures blended together and averaged out to create a "long exposure" effect, since I didn't have an ND filter that fit this particular lens.

Shot with a Sony A7Rii, Sigma 24-70mm Art lens at 24mm, 0.6s at f.22, ISO 50.

Surprisingly, this is the first "Star Trail" picture that I've taken! I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I did learn some lessons from this particular shoot. It's made of a series of 62 individual pictures, stacked together and merged. You can see the stars on the margin move faster around the sky than those closer to Sigma Octanis, which is the Southern Hemisphere’s "South Star", because they create longer trails. Cool! I love experimenting with new types of photography. This was really fun to do.
