Before 2025 is done, I figured I needed to share receiving the NZIPP 2025 Central Districts regional Photographer of the year. I’ve been avoiding my desk and joyfully digging in the garden day in day out for some time, and much needed rain in Hawke’s Bay has finally kept me indoors. The dahlias are starting to bloom again and the world is filling with colour. I’m super excited as the first of my seedlings start to open, and every day is like Xmas ❤️😍🥰💐

It's been a minute since I last entered the NZIPP Iris awards...(3 years) I'm tickled to have done so well with my floral art, bringing home 2 Golds, 4 Silver Distinction, and 4 Silver, also earning me a place as finalist in the Creative and Commercial categories. Though we didn't come home with any "Sparklies", it was absolutely an honour to be in the top 3 of such talented company.
It takes me the best part of a month to recover from all the learning, hugging, laughs, tears, intoxicated bidding, reconnecting and questionable dance moves that this event inspires, and I'm already looking Forward to next year. 🥰
