WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!
I'll admit, it has been a long time since I have been active on this photography page. To say that my photography has suffered is an understatement. My passion for it waned after a series of events that had a negative affect on my work caused me to put my camera aside for a while.
But my passion is still there. Just laying dormant, waiting for me to pick it up and look through the lens again. A lot has happened in the last two years since I effectively "disappeared", but I am still here, and I still treasure the art of photography.
To make a long story short, my precious Skybee, the horse that sparked my desire to become an equine photographer, has been on rocky ground for some time. People who know me will understand that this horse means the world to me, and exactly one week before Christmas 2019 Skybee underwent an operation to remove one of her eyes.
Now don't fret, it was the best decision for her and she has bounced back better than ever.
The reality is that with this huge positive, there also strikes the big negative.
A giant vet bill.
There was no hesitation to give the go-ahead for the surgery. Skybee has been with me for 8 years, and despite the eye issue she is a happy, healthy, larger-than-life grumpy old mare. Her life was worth more than my bank account.
But unfortunately living requires that bank account to be a bit fuller.
AND SO
I am offering DISCOUNTED photography shoots for people within the Mid-Canterbury and South-Canterbury areas.
To help raise money so that I can pay off the cost of Skybee's eye operation, each photo shoot will be $50 for one hour (travel may apply), with the best images taken given to you for free, saving you half the cost of a usual photoshoot.
If you would like to know more, feel free to message me. 😁
