💜 Meet Jade.

Before she became the reason we started Jade’s Law, she was simply our beautiful Jade.

Jade was just 18 years old.

She was pregnant with her precious baby Lily, and was building a life with her partner. She was working as a support worker for an adolescent girl, putting the same care and compassion into helping others that she showed the people she loved.

Jade was a loyal and loving daughter, sister and friend. The kind of person who cared deeply about the people around her and could be counted on when it mattered.

She loved sunsets and beaches. She loved challenge and adventure. She was a retired Highland dancer and a CACTUS graduate — determined, capable and never afraid to push herself.

She had so much ahead of her.

A partner she loved.
A baby she was waiting to meet.
A career she was building.
Family and friends who adored her.
Dreams that had barely begun.

On 18 November 2025, everything changed.

Jade was involved in a devastating crash after a professional truck driver ignored a stop sign and collided with her car. Jade suffered catastrophic and massive brain injury instantly and never regained consciousness.

Three days later, on 21 November, our family had to say goodbye to Jade after respecting her final wishes. Jade gave the gift of life and donated her organs.

Our beautiful 18-year-old daughter was gone.

And so was the future she was meant to have with Lily and her partner Josh.

We cannot change what happened to Jade.

But we can try to make sure her death leads to change.

That is why we are advocating for Jade’s Law.

Because Jade was not just a victim of a road crash.

She was a daughter.
A sister.
A partner.
A friend.
A young woman with a career and a future.
And a mum who never got to meet her baby.

Jade deserved a future.

We will tell her story.

And we will work to make New Zealand’s roads safer for everyone.

This is Jade’s Law. 💜

Unfortunately, Devilskin has to postpone our upcoming shows in Palmerston North (7th August) and Hastings (8th August) due to illness within the band.

This is only the second time we’ve ever had to postpone a Devilskin show over the past 15 years; we hope our friends in Palmy and Hastings understand that this is a last resort for us, but we have to prioritise our health this time.

However, Devilskin WILL celebrate the 10th Anniversary of ‘Be Like The River’ in Palmy and Hastings. We are working around the clock with our booking agent and venues to secure new dates, and will announce the reschedule as soon as possible.

All tickets purchased for the original show will remain valid for the new dates.

If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled show, refunds will be made available from Eventfinda once the new dates are announced.
