Hood aerodrome Wairarapa open day. Fabulous clear skies. When this pilot threw a ribbon out of his plane and tried flying through it, all I could visualise is what happens when I drive over a flax bush with my lawn mower. F/8, 1/2000s.

I took this last sunday as the storm was arriving. Struggling to stand in the wind and rain. Difficult to catch a decent stormy weather composition but managed to get this.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to trial and RF200-800 on my Canon R5 thanks to Steve Meadows and his contacts at The Photowarehouse. I really like this lense, and was perfect for the Gannet colony at Muriwai. Next to no cropping and minimal editing required. Shutter 1/2000, f/9, iso 100-250, and just a little care not to blow out the details on the feathers
