My mojo has me at potted plants on my deck π«£
It's been six months since I picked up my 'real' camera.
Being a photographer you are open to critique and people will literally use you for their gain.
It's a tough gig.
On top of losing my sole companion of 15 years last year, it all just got too much.
I grew tired of the unrealistic demands and the fake friendships for discounts.
My passion for photography died after hanging on by a thread.
Unrealistic demands from clients.
It's my job to select the best location for lighting. If you choose somewhere different or decide not to ask my advice on your location and the lightings s**t, that's not on me. I'm a photographer, not a magician.
If you don't like how you look in the outfit you choose, but the photos actually look fab, not my problem how you see yourself.
If you order your artwork after your 12 month timeline and it's declined, that's a 'you' issue for not ordering within the 12 months.
Don't call me when I'm on my way home from photographing 9 hours at an event and tell me you need your photos urgently.
Also don't ask where your photos are after just one week where I've photographed two A&P Shows, 2 family shoots and a wedding within 6 days.
Don't invite me FOC to an event that requires two days driving return, and 4 nights accommodation that I cover, then allow every Tom, Dick & Harry to photograph.
My bills are paid and food is put on my table and my pets are fed via my photography. When you use one of my images for promoting an event without consent and tell me it's 'a compliment' to me, for you to use one of my images, I have nothing except 'WTF'.
Last but not least, please stop sending me 'screenshots' of photos with my watermark on them, pleading me to find the photo taken 4- 6 years earlier because you were too tight to pay what would have been $5 for a digital download and now the animals dead and you want memories.
So my Canon 6D Mk II is gathering dust.
This is my year off to focus on nothing.
Go to my markets.
I do have a few shoots to do that clients had to reschedule from last year.
And hopefully I'll get my passion back π€·ββοΈ
