Dianne Derbyshire Photography Beautiful places, beautiful things, and a moment captured to treasure. This is what I love about ph Dad passed on to me a love of photography.

I have memories of walking miles along a train track for that 'prime spot' and climbing hills - Mt Kakepuku - with his camera case. I love nature, horticulture, floristry, my big, crazy family, and being creative.

Going through the archives looking for something I came across this shot of my brave granddaughter with this impressive stag. It's just what's in the local park down South. Children interacting with animals make for great photos, I'm happy to have your family shoot at a petting zoo or on the farm where I can document natural smiles and interactions.

I had some pretty exciting news today 😁 The panel have made their choice of the 12 photographs that will be installed in the new Mental Health Building Interview Rooms and two Rongoa Rooms at the Hamilton Te Whatu Ora campus by the end of October. It's been two years of planning and consultation to get this far. I can't wait to see them printed! This was one of the selected images.

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful ceremony at Hospice Waikato last week. The unveiling of the Po and Mauri Stone that stands in the entrance of the In-Patient Unit, and blessing of the building since completion of major upgrades. With the grieving whanau whose generous koha brought this wonderful piece into Hospice, to the carvers, elders, many supporting services, staff, and visitors, it was such a beautiful event to be able to document.
