This lovely little Black-morph Pīwakawaka appears to live in my backyard! I’ve seen it a couple times now and hear them daily ☺️ spring is such a great time to head out and take photos / hear all the birds. Hopefully this little one sticks around for a few nicer shots.

This little Pīwakawaka was waiting patiently for me to turn over some leaves and dirt so they could catch some lunch in Queens Park ☺️

Another lovely native NZ bird… the Whio! If you’ve ever had a look at the $10 note you would’ve seen this fella 😁

The Whio / Blue duck is very distinct looking compared to any other duck species you might find in NZ, and there’s a few of them at if you ever want to see them up close!
