Who doesn’t love a black and white copy!?

I was super impressed with the Dhillon family. Their behind the scenes work was top top (see the reel you don’t want to miss out 😂) but most importantly their 4yo Kyra who rocked up with full face make up and I’m like omg cute Mum did your make up! Whilst mum is looking at me like nah girl that was all her! Dam those eyebrows were on point 💅

We all get it, we can all relate.

Life gets in the way. Next thing you know it’s 5 years down the track and your youngest is starting school and you’re frantically trying to remember the last time you held your baby in your arms.

You see the calm, beautiful moments…

but what you don’t see is mum dancing like no one’s watching and dad making sounds I can’t even explain 😭

It’s always a full team effort to get those little smiles and somehow, we nail it - even if your dignity is bruised whilst pulling out dance moves you haven’t done since 2012 🤪

It’s almost always mum who reaches out to book the session.

Not because she loves organising things…
but because she’s the one who sees it.

She notices how quickly it’s all changing.
How the newborn scrunch fades, how little hands grow, how phases pass without warning.

She’s also the one with hundreds of photos on her phone of everyone else.

Dad with the kids.
The baby sleeping.
The little in-between moments.

But very few of her.

Not because she doesn’t matter…
but because she’s busy being in it.

So she books the session.
So her children will have something that proves she was there too.

Not perfect. Not posed.
Just present.

And one day, those photos will mean more than anything.
