Dunedin Midwinter Carnival – 13 June 2026, First Church Grounds

Beware... a photo bomb is coming! 📸✨

What a fantastic annual event for our community. Wander among larger-than-life lanterns, glowing spaces, magical performances, lantern processions, music, dance, delicious food and thousands of smiling faces – for me it was a celebration of winter at its very best.

Congratulations to everyone involved, especially the organising committee and the many volunteers whose hard work brought this magical evening to life. You should be incredibly proud of what you have created for our city.

While many people know me for my landscape photography, I also photograph concerts, festivals, musicians, choirs, corporate events and promotional images for artists. It was a pleasure photographing these talented young artists in May as they prepared for upcoming performances. Creating images that reflect both the professionalism and personality of musicians is one of the aspects of photography I enjoy most. DM if you need my services :)
