These images have been a long time in the planning and I am so delighted to be able to start sharing them now. When I photographed Dee with her family over a year ago, we started talking about getting her in the studio to take a series of portraits on her own. Like many Mum’s, she had been focussed on her kids for years, without sparing any time for herself. She wanted some portraits that she could be proud to share with her friends and family, as well as being something special just for her.

Dee hadn’t ever done anything like this before, and she was a little apprehensive about the shoot, but oh my goodness we had so much fun!

We also created a collection of amazing images that show how gorgeous Dee is - both inside and out ❤️❤️

Dee‘s beautiful hair and make-up was created by the very talented Ashleigh Jane Make Up & Hair Artistry. I’m a big fan a natural beauty and Ashleigh is my go-to artist for this!

Me again! I took this Portrait as a part of a
series to celebrate my last day of being 40.

In many countries birthday celebration portraits are the norm and I think we should try and start a movement here in NZ to do the same thing.

Everyone deserves to have photos that they love and value, images that they are proud to share with their friends and family, and portraits that make them feel special.
