Wow, check out this super cool place Amanda and I got to stay at over the weekend. It is called the Raven's Nest in Springfield about 40 minutes out of Christchurch. If you are a lord of the rings fan it is definitely worth checking out but even if you are not the experience is still amazing. Everything about our stay was incredible, from the small details that were added to the decoration to make it feel authentic through to the most awesome breakfast we got delivered to our door in the morning.

I couldn't say how many times I have been to castle hill to take photos, but I can say it is one place I never get bored with exploring. I love this view from atop the hill as you get to see not only the main rock formations at castle hill but many of the other rock formations that are part of the station.

For a new challenge in my photography, I had the great opportunity to photograph some very cute dogs and test my patience and shutter finger.... Dogs move much faster than mountains, well most of the time. In the photos are Charlie the Saint Bernard, Maple the Collie, Dolly the Greyhound, and Indie the German Shepherd. Looking forward to adding more fur baby photos to my portfolio in the near future. If you have a dog you want some nice photographs of then get in touch.

Looking at this photo you may think I just found lots of beautiful pieces of individual landscapes and photoshopped them all together to make an image that represents something straight from a fantasy novel. But this is not the case. Kirkjufell mountain and Kirkjufellsfoss does really exist and it is an absolutely stunning place to visit.

It takes an early start or staying out late to get the chance to photograph Skógafoss people free. The main waterfall is impressive but if you have the time follow the track from the top of the waterfall to see many other just as impressive waterfalls.

Just like the Tasman Glacier lake in New Zealand just with a crap tonne (official measurement) more Icebergs. I was blown away by the scenery in Iceland which is understandable when every turn revealed something just as impressive as the next.

On the way out of Mt Cook national park i thought I'd check out one last spot despite it being middle of the morning and clear blue skies. Wasn't expecting much but pretty happy with this location i found. Will have to go back one day and hope for a more dramatic sky.
