In this week's video I attempt to re-work an old image with newer tools to see if I can do a better job. It surprised me how much more efficient and convincing the results are.
I also expound the virtues of wide angle lens panoramas to get unusual views of landscape subjects.

Fun project last week seeing what variations in lighting I could get at a favourite location at Godley Head, on the Port Hills here in Christchurch. I wouldn't say I got my best images ever, though I did get a few nice stills.
The advantage of living close to a location is I can go back there at short notice when the weather condtions are more spectactular for landscape photography. Like a Nor'west sky as the sun pokes through the gap in the clouds just before sunset...

Just finished an edit of a dawn to dusk time-lapse of the SailGP Yacht race in Lyttelton Harbour 23 March this year. I had a great day and a wonderful viewpoint up on the Port Hills overlooking the harbour. Long day though, the timelapse runs from 6:50 am until 7:51 pm, 15 second interval.
