It has been nearly 2 years since we had this type of media!

Sadly, We are still in the same situation, where we can not access the drug Joshua needs and is amendable to. This drug is life changing for Joshua, and also other boys with the same deletion as him, as it slows down the progression of muscle deterioration due to Duchenne Musclar Dystrophy. Joshua is nearly 11! Still walking but struggling with many things. The decline in muscle ability is happening and so heartbreaking. It’s devastating to see a child begin to lose the ability to do things they could before. Just imagine not being able to get up off the floor or just simply pick up your bag. . That’s what’s happening with Joshua.

We are on a mission to raise the funds to save Joshua’s life. If you have any ideas on what could work, please contact us or share this with people you know. We have over $300,000 to raise to obtain 1 years worth of weekly infusions.

We're sorry Palmy 😪. Our staff have been doing their absolute best for years to ensure this never happened and was a fact we were proud of. Despite support from other brigades which saw three firefighters from Wellington helping out yesterday we just couldn't fill a seat today leading to one of our city station appliances being short crewed. Hopefully this is a one off blip in an otherwise immaculate record 🙏
