Last one for the day, these are ornaments really, but very cool to have. Alec is funnelling his inner 'Alfred Charles Barker' whilst he spent an hour setting up these two Thornton Pickards. The more substantial one with the posh hard leather case is $750, the one with the canvas bag is $600. There is a spare hickory tripod and that can go with whichever one sells first. Could you use them ? Yup, you could run some 4x5 film in the backs, but that does not mean they have any sort of photographic warranty, we are selling 'as is' . Nice new product from Saramonic , wish I had watched this vid a week ago, this would have been perfect for my client who is doing vids walking around his car yard, the camera man could feed facts and figures without having to read notes.

We have welcomed an old friend back today. I sold Leica number #5000 eighteen years ago to a local. It was a fair price at the time but the world of Leica has gone mad since. I have to admit we did consider sending it off via one of the auction houses overseas but my vendor wanted to keep his life simple so here you go. The real value ? Who knows really ? If you buy it and auction and make some money we wish you well. If you add it to your collection and keep it, that would be lovely. It works, but the value isn't as a camera to use. The contents of a fax my owner received from Leica in 1998 will be in the comments, we are still searching for the actual fax. The price ? $80,000 NZD. GST can be taken off if exported.

One of my long term clients has lightened his camera bag, all in excellent order and all Sony mount, Danni is listing now but if you want to know the numbers early here you go. Friday post #1 , another coming soon. We had tears at the counter today. We are seeing this a bit, a nice couple, long term clients that are shrinking their contents to fit their new smaller house. This gent was the ultimate 'complete-ist' and it was a difficult moment as he left the camera he has owned for 55 years behind. Boxes, warranty cards ( 21/09/1971 ) brochures , books, sales brochures, magazines comparing the F1 to the Nikon F2, the only think I see that is missing is the hood for the FD 24mm f2.8 SSC. You know the story, email if you want to jump the queue, Geoffrey will get to this over the weekend. The very cool brass Kodak Dev tank has been snaffled up by one of the crew here. Canon F1 original , flash adapter, std prism, case, book , box, very nice order, the FD 50mm f1.4 on it is a gift with purchase as it has just enough muck inside it to be annoying. So same price with or without the lens, $500. Canon Boostewr finder for F1, with the connecting cable everyone loses and case & book , $180, Canon Ftb body , just in case the F1 broke down which it never did so even prettier than the F1, $300, Canon FD 135mm f2.5 ( not 2.8 ) , case, box, very nice lens, a tiny bit of dust inside, very usable and amazing glass, $250, Canon FD 24mm f2.8 SSC with case, and a hood only if I can find one , these seem popular amongst the cine/ video crew, $490, Canon 100-200, case and box, $120. Canon FD 100mm f2.8 , case and box, sweet little portrait lens, $289.

A few weeks ago we had a really nice Hasselblad analogue kit with several lenses, then last week we got one of the beautiful 907x 100mp backs. Not sure this happened but they both seem to have ended up in the same place ! As the new owner admits, he just uses the digi back to get things right and then pops his film back on :) Nice setup .

Yesterdays new Sony boxes have morphed into different Sonys. Had to happen I suppose. This is a great set of gear, very lightly used. The A1 and grip is around 5000 frames ( we will count it accurately when listed ) Amazing condition, screen protector on, $4850 all up, Sony A7III with 28-70, hood and filter, very low frame count, $1350, Sony 200-600, pretty, no marks, not even on the tripod foot, hood and bag, no box, $2250. The imposter in the front is one for the bargain hunters. Canon EF 100mm f2.0 , these were a sweet little lens but this one is MF only, the AF motor has given up. Great quality if you don't mind MF , $90. Emailing the teaboy is the go, Danni is swamped, these won't get listed today.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the www we have released the treasure trove that is Dunedin branch of Photo Warehouse on the used data base. Now you have to keep an even closer eye on which branch an item is in. A little ironic their first ever post is a Nikon F4.
