It's been a few hours since we had the official launch of the OM System Pen. What do you think ? Hit by the ugly stick or cool as a cucumber ? The team on deck in store today are split 4/2 in favour of cool. One thing for certain, it is amazing value, great buying at $1799 , cheap enough to consider as a second body for travel. I suppose that is exactly who they are targeting.

Yesterdays Miranda man has issues, the next banana box down had the most oddball collection of Olympus gear you have ever seen. Was anyone else keen enough on Olympus back in the day to buy one of these super expensive fitted cases ? There is a 250 shot back , huge T45 grip flash, bellows, the listings will start soon. The XA is an XA2 and has a flash , Danni is testing it now. Email to jump the queue, these need to be cleared so the prices will be more than fair.

It's 'pride and joy ' time. Someone has just relinquished their FM2T 50mm f1.4 AIS kit in our Great North Road Photo Warehouse store, listed now, be super quick, I doubt this will see the end of the day. I haven't seen it live but it looks in great condition.

For our Fujifilm friends who’ve been waiting for a little more reach — the new XF 400mm F4.5 might just be the one. This video shows the lens beautifully in action and is definitely worth a watch.

We have had a random Bonita banana box in the front window just sitting there looking threatening for a year or two. Danni got brave today and ripped the top off it. A Miranda Village, who knew ? Who would collect this many Mirandas ? The ones with the waist level finders are pretty cool and one has a macro. Individual images in the comments with prices. All will be cheap, we are not keen to hold these, the one exception is the macro lens, I see they are quite sought after. Alec pretending to be interested but deep down he is more of a Yashica TL Electro tragic. Email is the go, we may not get these listed for a few days.

September is already looking pretty exciting — Nikon’s Lens Cashback promotion continues, Panasonic has a Spring Special running, and Sony’s Bundle & Save deals are still going strong.
