And last but certainly not least, the mighty UC Hockey Club Division 1 Spartans enter the fray, with some tight contests with and Marist Hockey Club, pushing through for a win against the former while falling short against the latter. All up it was a long but exciting day, one I always look forward to, and one that was especially well hosted by Canterbury Hockey. Now let's get into the winter season!

Was lucky enough to be down at Nunweek Park for the South Island Hockey 5s a few weekends ago! Mainly photographing UC Hockey Club games, but there was lots of amazing hockey on offer from all the clubs playing! This is the first year that the club will be fielding a Women's premier team and it's definitely exciting having four matches each Saturday to look forward to, so who better to kick us off than the UCHC CPL Women! Enjoy some photos of their outings against Avon Hockey Club, Southern United Hockey Club, and finally Marist Hockey Club!

Late to the show with this, but as it's about a year since I was over there, I thought I'd share some images from my trip to Japan last February! A keen battle between two powerhouses this season, the Canterbury Hockey Connetics SSP Girls Final was fought between Rangi Ruru Girls' School and St Andrew's College . An early stroke gave Rangi the lead and they battled hard to hold it for the remainder of the match, St Andrews not quite converting despite dominating the midfield play and hammering the Rangi defence. A close victory for the girls in yellow, congratulations Rangi Ruru!

A cold night out for the final of the Canterbury Hockey Connetics SSP Boys Final, a brutal slog as Christ's College, Canterbury took on St Bede's College in a what was ultimately a 2-1 win to the boys in red. A nail-biter with action right up to the final seconds threatening a shootout. Congratulations to the winners on their hard fought trophy!
