I popped to the beach hoping to see the full moon rise, but there was too much low cloud to see the moon! Made the most of it and took some shots of seagulls with the gorgeous pink sky. This one's my fave 🩷

The Kotuku has upsized it's meal from whitebait.
It had a good feast on eels this morning. Hard to not feel sorry for the wee things, but a bird's gotta eat!

Whitebait season has started early for our local Kōtuku. If you look closely you can see the tiny tail sticking out of it's bill🐟
