I didn’t realize there is a dine-in restaurant on this street.
Such a gorgeous place with a huge open kitchen inside, and you could see how your meal gets done by chefs.
I loved the beef steak I had, ._w.kat had salmon steak.

The great french style dessert cafe in Christchurch.
Luckily, I could meet the first re-opened day of in a new location, on the way to its' previous place.
It is much bigger than before, also decorated gorgeously.
I found that the staffs there were wearing uniforms with their national flags and I loved how they try to keep the diversity in one place. It must be helpful for tourists who visit their place as it is located in the center of the city.
I had the Forbidden Fruit, which is a caramelized apple cake and
Chocolate Lover, which is a double chocolate mousse.
The flavor of both is divine!!

These menu photos are the last part of this work. I intended to picnic vibe on that day, all the grass was so muddy….That little spot saved me. 😊
This food is a street food selection on menu.
Jeyuk cupbap - Sweet and spicy pork on rice
Cauliflower cupbap - deep-fried cauliflower with sauce on the rice
KFC - Korean sweet and spicy chicken
Kimari - deep-fried seaweed roll with glass noodles for the side menu.

They do also have a burger night. You can meet the burger on Friday!

This is (재주), a food truck sells Korean dishes in Christchurch.
A month ago, when I found JaeJu on Instagram, I thought the owner would be Korean.
However, it turned out that a lovely international couple runs this food truck. The chef is who has been cooking for 10 years as a professional and he decided to start his business with his partner’s cultural food. I and my partner wanted to contribute to their new start, and here’s some photo works done.😁

This is a Shanghai dumpling place recommended by foodie fams. It's been raining a lot these days, so I wanted to eat a lot of warm dumplings. And I got recommended this hidden spot. I tried Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), Xiaomai, Wantang soup, and pork chive dumplings.
Xiaolongbao was amazing. It is filled with clean, non-greasy soup. The soup of Wan-tang tasted like a deep seafood broth and the Xiaomai had very big and fresh prawn.
It was a very satisfying lunch on a cold day.
Next time, I will try pan-fried pork buns and soy pudding.
I highly recommend you to go to this place!

Two weeks ago, I went to Hibachi to have Korean-Japanese style bbq to celebrate my birthday.
I ordered 'Kyoto course' with yakiniku meat and oysters of the day.
One of the course menu was yukhoe, which is korean style beef tartare and my favourite dish. You will get served incredibly fresh meat from Hibachi.
Also, the marbling of the meat is a great quality here.
They were too delicious, I couldn't focus on taking photos. I lost my mind at that time.
All the service I got was very hospitable.
It would be pricey but I highly recommend it for your special day.
It seemed busy in the evening, I suggest to make a reservation if you want to visit.

I've been to at food court
You can have your meal at Ippin dining area where next to the counter, which is very convenient.
Ramen I had has a nice mild broth and even great for spicy flavour.
It's quite addictive and generally based with sweet taste.
Ippin also sells donburi with salad and meat toppings that you can pick your own.
When you are near Northlands, it’s worth to try.

Here are Iced winter melon latte and panda cake on GULA's menu.
I tried winter melon latte and panda cake for the first time with this chance.
Winter melon latte is made with winter melon syrup, coffee, oat milk and tastes similar to black sugar coffee milk tea.
I think it's more savoury by using Boring Oat Milk.
Pandan cake is a fresh cream sponge cake with a little hint of coconut.

You all know that I've always been a fan of local business.
Recently, I met a one-man food truck on Instagram that will be opening soon. The owner, Sarah, seemed busy caring about everything for operating a food truck. I contacted her because I thought there might be something I could do to help her with, and thankfully, she responded to my request! Me and my partner worked hard to take pictures to stand out the food and concept of this food truck.

The first of the menus is a pie inspired by Malaysian food.
There are three flavours, beef rendang, sambal pork, buttermilk chicken.
I loved the sambal pork especially. It has a unique taste which is made with shrimp paste, has a various taste in your mouth.

I stopped by on Saturday afternoon.
I wanted to try Korean-style cafe dishes, but it was too late in the afternoon and the kitchen was closed.
It has nice sunshine that comes through the wide windows and aesthetic internal design.
Coffee tasted good and fresh as I've had it before.
As it's a popular place, there were a lot of people until the cafe is closing.
Next time, I want to come to have some meals on weekdays.
