sometimes, I wonder how a glacier could be so stupid, to leave something so beautiful behind; on this day I bet it’d say; leave it to a hueman to bring up the past, and now the present, and the future are forever together; timelapsed 💨⏳🏔🪨📷⌛️

Join me on my roadtrip down the West Coast of New Zealand. I leave the Hops Farm I was working at in Tapawera for the last 2 months and I trickle my way down along the coastline.

The first stop is a much anticipated location for me, the Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki. I spend almost 5 days there waiting for the light to show itself. My patients has paid off big time.

After some pancakes I take a quick rip into Coal Creek Falls before continuing on down to Glacier Country - Franz Josef & Fox Glaciers. They are the worlds only glaciers which runs through a temperate forest...I think I was 100 years too late, or maybe I’ll have to come back durning the winter!

Finally, I spend 4 nights at the Top 10 Holiday park taking in the views, catching up with friends and family, and most importantly, making this video. 2 nights of editing the photos and 2 nights of editing the video.

I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed did creating it 😊

It happened again... I stayed up all night batch-editing content that I gathered from a previous road trip around New Zealand. This was my first night back at the Grapevine Hostel in Blenheim. Between "flow state activate” and Thomas Heaton videos, I was hyped up and beyond motivated, so instead of crawling into bed, I decided to go out and have some fun with photography.

Initially, I had planned to go to the Wariau Lagoons for some Abstract Drone Photography but with the resent rains at the time I couldn't get past the entrance as it was completely flooded out. I decided to try my luck with the Isolated group of trees I had my eyes on since I arrived in Blenheim for the first time. For my vision to come together I needed the perfect conditions. Not only perfect conditions but I needed the fog to be in a very specific place. 9 months later I was at the right place at the right time.

I hiked to the top of Wither Hills, shot some panoramic views with the drone and enjoyed my morning coffee with the local cows. As a bonus I found another “Isolated Tree” on my hike back down, which as well only worked out due to the dream-like foggy conditions.

Enjoy and relax with some Dreamy Drone Shots accompanied by 432Hz-7 Crown Chakra music. Speaking of Music, both songs were found on Epidemic Sound. Thank you 14-day free trial.

DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY On A Rainy Day - Seeing What I Can See

After living out of my van for the last 4 months it is nice to have a “home base” to work on the content that I gathered during that time. I stayed up all night processing images in Lightroom *flow state activated. My plan was to get a shower, sleep, and get back to it. However, you know what can happen in the shower sometimes....I was hit with creativity and felt motivated to go out with my camera to see what I could see. This was my first time exploring my new environment since I arrived here at the Hops Farm.

The first thing I noticed when I got here was the consistency of the foggy conditions in the mornings, I have my eye on a couple “solo trees” as well. Hopefully I can get the time and conditions to match up while I’m here. It had been raining too hard to fly the Drone any morning before this, or I had to work in the farm. After my shower the conditions were far too good to go to bed. I decided to grab my gear and go walk towards the mountains. I found a spot that I saw potential in and risked entering onto private farm land.

It’s not a normal photography adventure without my GoPro giving me a hard time. It doesn’t like the early mornings I guess lol. Removing the battery and blowing inside like an old Nintendo 64 game seemed to do the trick and I got to record some more memories. The Drone was on it’s best behaviour and I got 1 battery worth of fun in before the rains came.

It seems like every time I choose to go take photographs instead of sleeping I’m always happy about that decision. That is why I am choosing to upload this video rather than creating something out of previous recorded footage. This was a result of many things alining and a reminder that reactionary photography is my favourite. Just get out there with your camera and see what happens. Coming home with an image you like is just an added bonus!
