Yellow Lab Christmas Minis are coming back this year!

I’m busy finalising the dates and all the little details now, and I’ll be sharing them very soon.

No need to do anything just yet, I just wanted to give you a heads-up so that, if Christmas photos with your favourite furry person have been on your mind, you don’t miss them. ❤️

Ever wondered what actually happens behind the scenes at the groomer? 🐾

Kristal Pet Grooming is opening their doors for a special 13th anniversary open day, and I’ll be there too with a Yellow Lab photo spot.

They’ll be giving you a peek behind the scenes, so you can see where the grooming magic happens, meet the team, ask questions, and have a look around.

And yes 😀 you can bring your dog 💜

There’ll be:

🐾 open salon tours
🐾 goodie bags for the first 20 families
🐾 an anniversary raffle
🐾 snacks, sweet treats and refreshments
🐾 treats for the dogs, while they last 😘

That’s when you see your finished portraits and choose the portraits you love most.

For anyone who doesn’t love being in photos… this one’s for you. 💛

Kelly came in with Yves, her 5-month-old lilac Frenchie, and honestly, these two were such a joy to photograph.

Yves is still a baby, but he listened so well. He stayed close to Kelly, checked in with her, and had that perfect mix of confident little dog and total mummy’s boy.

You can tell these two are best mates.

And Kelly’s review made me so happy:

Poppy understood the assignment 💅🐾

This precious Staffy X looked like an absolute princess on the grey ottoman, and honestly… she smashed the whole posing thing.

Her coat was unbelievably soft and shiny too. George likes to fish and hunt, and you can tell Poppy’s special diet agrees with her — she was glowing.

One moment she was lying against the grey backdrop like royalty, and the next she was ready to offer a little high five.

Sweet, shiny, clever, and clearly born to model. The treats may have helped a little. 😉

George also left this beautiful review:

I often ask dogs and their people if they have any little tricks or games they love doing together.

For Andrea and Cashew, it was hide and seek.

I was still figuring out in my head what that might look like in a photo when Andrea covered her eyes and called Cashew over to find her.

And of course, he did.

Next thing, his cute little face was right beside hers, like, “Found you!” 🥹

These are the moments I love most, the little games, the silly things, the tiny routines that only make sense between you and your dog.

The best photos aren’t always perfectly posed.

Sometimes they’re the ones that happen when your dog is simply being themselves with the person they love. 💛

Quincy, you beautiful little heart-stealer 💛
This sweet long-haired dachshund was so soft, so gentle, and completely at home in his family’s arms.

Some of my favourite photos from his session are the quiet cuddly ones. Quincy nestled into Andrea, tucked into Josh, and held between them like the precious boy he is. You can feel how loved he is.

There was also a funny little moment during the shoot when Josh pointed out how much Quincy’s colouring matched Andrea’s hair. And he was right, those soft blonde and brown tones were definitely giving “meant to be.” 🥹

And those little front paws held up? Honestly impossible not to admire.

This is what I love most about photographing dogs and their families: the cuddles, the little details, and all the love that’s already there.

Every dog has their thing.

For Xesca, it’s socks. 🧦🐾

She may be tiny, but this little grey Chipoo has plenty of personality, including a habit of stealing socks. So of course we had to include one in her photos.

I love that Claire and Ferran chose portraits that show all the little sides of her: the sock thief, the tongue-out cutie, and the beautiful little model against grey.

Because the best photos aren’t just about what your dog looks like.

They’re about who they are. 💛

Rex looking ridiculously handsome against black 🖤

I absolutely love photographing black dogs on black. There’s something so beautiful about the way the light outlines them, and Rex looked especially striking with his black and red bow tie.

At her photo reveal, Hayley chose a beautiful collection of favourites to create a gallery wall, and I was so impressed when she arrived already knowing her sizes and exactly where her A1 artmount was going to go.

It’s going to look incredible once it’s up.
