The hoodie I’m wearing on repeat — and the thoughtful detail that makes it work.

It’s a dual zip. Zipped all the way up, the daisy sits like a brooch. Unzip a little and it tucks away. Unzip all the way and it wears like a jacket. Unzip from the bottom and wear it looser with layers. One hoodie, four ways to wear it.

Together with its soft warm fleece — it’s the sort of piece you’ll reach for on the school run, for a walk with a friend, on the plane, to the movies, with jeans on the weekend.

Some of the most beautiful moments in life are the ones we almost miss.

I nearly walked away from this one.

At the end of a cold winter’s day - I sat on shore of Lake Hayes waiting patiently to photograph golden hour. When the time came - the light seemed flat, ordinary. Cold and ready for a Queenstown pinot🍷I packed up and started to leave — then something made me glance back.

The whole lake had turned to gold.

I stood there and just breathed it in. Peaceful. Still. The kind of moment that quiets everything inside you.

There’s a florist up the road that always stops me in my tracks.

That’s what happened when I spied a bunch of pink hydrangeas sitting in their window - so bold and happy they made me literally stop walking and just smile.

I brought them home intent on capturing that feeling.

This is what joy looks like to me. The kind that sneaks up on you on an ordinary day.
