These are some moments from our recently concluded 10 days long deep dive into the PC Fellowship 2026 program. Here the team of our mentors and the new cohort of fellows came together to think, question, and begin. Our fellows will now step into their 6 months journey into research and making of their individual works for the fellowship.

We can't wait to see them shine!

PC Fellowship is a 6-month long program designed to support our growing community of visual storytellers. It brings in a cohort of 8 visual practitioners and 8 mentors together to examine, through visual storytelling as the medium, what development means for Nepali society. This is an invitation to delve deeper into questions, challenges and concerns around modes of “development” and notions of “progress” that are promoted in Nepal at present.

This past week, Nepal witnessed significant political change as a new generation came to streets all across Nepal, voicing concerns about governance and leadership. In a matter of days, the course of Nepali history took a new direction.

As a community of photographers and visual storytellers, our alumni and friends were there to document these events. These images capture moments from the recent demonstrations that led to political transition.

Nepal now has a new Rt. Hon. Interim Prime Minister, Sushila Karki - former Chief Justice and the first female PM in the country's history. This marks a historic milestone.

During these events, more than 50 lives were lost, many were injured, and damage occurred to public and private properties. We acknowledge those affected and wish recovery to those still healing.

We witnessed history as it unfolded. 🇳🇵

Thank you for your work and for sharing your photographs with us —

🇳🇴✨ Here's a tiny update coming in from Norway. Two weeks has passed and 3 more to go and our team of four — Sagar & Suman representing photo.circle, Ashraf & Joy representing Pathshala South Asian Media Institute from Bangladesh are currently visiting Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway to participate in a list of programs. Joy and Suman are invited to attend a 6 weeks course on photojournalism offered by Oslo Metropolitan University - Department of Photojournalism and Ashraf and Sagar are contributing to the course in the capacity of guest teachers.

From speaking at the Climate Journalism under Pressure conference to diving deep into photojournalism training and many conversations and networking over Norwegian coffee, cozy dinners, in classrooms, and wandering through Oslo's beautiful streets; incredible journey it’s been so far!

This is a continued collaboration of over 2 decades between the two institutions - Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and OsloMet and almost 15 years of photo.circle joining the partnership with a shared vision of strengthening visual storytelling education and freedom of speech.

Huge gratitude to our hosts at JMIC (Journalism & Media International Center) and OsloMet for the warm hospitality, all the brilliant minds we've connected with, and this partnership supported by Norad and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More updates and photos from the journey in Norway. 📸🤝🌏
