MAJIPA LAKHEY AAJU
(The legend Story of true lover of the period)
Legend says:
There is the Demon who lives in kathmandu valley who kills ,hurts the people and surrounding.Once the demon goes for the hunting people on the way there is a river and the opposite the river he saw a beautiful common girl "Majipa". The demon fall in love with her.After that day he turns himself in the form of common man and always come to bank of the river to see majipa. after short time majipa and demon fall in love with eachother .
After some times goes on majipa parents recognize the person is demon. knowing that they were very afraid and the villagers also knows that after sometime.Later the villagers and parents decided to take demon to the king.And in front of king demon say's i am demon and i fall in love with majipa if i didn't get her i will destroy the city .so does majipa also said she cannot live without demon.on the situation the kings say's if demon you don't hurts kills people i and villagers will accept you .Then demon agreed to not to kills the people and only eat meat and eggs .from that day king named him "Lakhey"."la"means meat "khey"means egg.He now becomes as well as common people but the villagers doesn't not believe Lakhey not hurting people. so, one day the villagers send one of the children to tease lakhey,child firstly tease him from distance but knowing lakhey did not respond child goes closer and begin to tease and the lakhey just chase the child after some time goes on this lastly the lakhey just chasing and kicked the children.Now on the villagers also believed lakhey will not hurts people anymore and welcomed demon to participate in jatra so on we can see lakhey jatra in jatra called yenyapuni (indrajatra).
After that the demon lakhey called Majipa lakhey and now majipa lakhey Aaju.
