Celebrate World Photography Day 2026 with Readers' Unite Nepal!
Every photograph tells a story—and we're looking for yours.
Readers Unite Nepal (RUN), in partnership with Alpine Learning Hub - Nepal and supported through the Global Youth Mobilization , funded by the European Union , proudly presents the RUN World Photography Competition 2026.
🌍 Theme
"Stories Around Us: Every Picture Tells a Story"
Capture a meaningful photograph that reflects learning, reading, imagination, or the power of knowledge in your community. Show us how education transforms lives through your lens.
👥 Eligibility
Open to all young people aged 24 years or below.
Participation is completely FREE.**
🏆 Cash Prizes
🥇 First Prize: NPR 5,000
🥈 Second Prize: NPR 3,000
🥉 Third Prize: NPR 2,000
📌 Submission Requirements
* One original photograph
* A 50–100 wordstory or caption describing your photograph and its connection to the theme
# # 📷 Photo Specifications
* JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg) format
* Minimum resolution: 3000 × 4000 pixels (12 MP)
* Maximum file size: 25 MB
* The photograph must be taken by the participant.
📱 *Photographs taken using smartphones are warmly welcomed and will be judged equally alongside DSLR and mirrorless cameras.*
🎨 Editing Policy
Only basic editing is permitted, including:
* Cropping
* Exposure adjustment
* Colour balance
* Contrast
❌ *AI-generated images, composite photographs, or digital alterations that change the content of the image are strictly prohibited.*
🏅 Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
* Storytelling
* Creativity
* Relevance to the theme
* Technical quality
**The type of camera used will not influence the judging.
🖼️ Exhibition Opportunity
Selected photographs may be printed and exhibited by *Alpine Learning Hub*, with full credit given to the photographer.
