Asian green Bee-eater 🐦️
A small, delicate bee-eater found in open woodlands, farmland, and lightly populated areas. It features mainly green plumage with a bluish throat, a thin black eye stripe and throat band, and a rufous or rusty-toned crown and nape. It also has long central tail feathers. Juveniles appear duller and lack the extended tail streamers. In flight, its rusty-colored underwings with a black edge are noticeable. It moves gracefully while hunting insects mid-air. Its calls consist of soft, liquid trills or sharper, choppier notes.
