Vaisha Dev shrine, also known as the “Toothache Tree”
Located in the Bangemudha intersection of Kathmandu, it is a sacred wooden stump completely covered in hammered coins.
It is dedicated to the Newar god or goddess of toothaches, and believers nail coins to the wood to seek relief from dental pain.
