It is believed that on this day of Shree Panchami (5th day in the month of Magh according to lunar calendar), if one writes something on the wall in the premises of the temple of Manjushree or Saraswati, one gains knowledges. Buddhists worship Manjushree , the bodhisattva of wisdom and Hindus worship Sarasvati, the goddess of knowledge, music and arts.

A devotee and a sadhu in front of the chariot of Red Machhindranath : A month long Festival of Bungadya / Rato Machhindranath ( Red Machhindranath ) has begun few days ago. It is equally celebrated by both Buddhist and Hindu devotees . Hindus worship as Shiva whereas Buddhists as Avalokiteshvara ( Bodhisattva ) .
