What a stunning combination of colors! It was my first bird-watching experience in Sukute, and I couldn't have asked for a better subject. As I entered the resort, a man-made pond caught my eye. I had a feeling it would attract some birds, so I decided to check it out. My patience was rewarded when I spotted this beautiful Common Kingfisher, or "सानो माटीकोरे" as we call it in Nepali, seeking fish in the calm waters. I quietly adjusted my position at the bank of the pond and managed to capture this serene moment. Nature truly never disappoints! 🌿

What a bird it is! 🐦 I’ve always admired the Eurasian Hoopoe (फाप्रे चरा) from afar, only capturing a few record shots. But this time, while chilling by the river in Sukute, I saw it flying into the resort area. Excited, I grabbed my camera and quietly followed it to where it was searching for food.

At first, it was far away, but with patience and silence, I watched as it gradually came closer, completely engaged in its search. Staying still and silent really paid off, and I was able to capture these perfect shots. Moments like these remind me why I love wildlife photography. 🧡
