The countdown has started!! ✨💚

August is normally the month when the mighty Northern Lights make their first appearance of the season, and autumn can actually be a fantastic time to experience them — it’s easier to head out into the wild nature, and the darker nights make it easier to catch the lights.

As in this picture, the Sherpa Stairs in the darkness, with a headlamp and a little hiking experience, can make for quite an adventure. 🌌

When do you guess the Northern Lights will appear for the first time this season? 👀

Waking up to sunshine really does something to us. Today we woke up feeling happy, energized, and calm all at the same time. Doing our daily harbour walk on mornings like this is something else.

If you’re starting to get seriously tired of the grey, rainy days, here’s a reminder of what we’ll be looking forward to before long. ☃️😅

That said, summer isn’t quite done with us yet. According to our trusted meteorologists, we’re finally in for some sunshine. ☀️ We should see the first sunrays already tomorrow, and Thursday is shaping up to be a beauty with sunshine all day and temperatures reaching 17°C. 🫶🏾

We’ll happily take every bit of vitamin D we can get before Polar Night takes over again. 🙏🏽😁
