We take walks almost every day, and each day we stop in the same spot, and I let her walk all by herself for a bit. Each time a bit farther than the day before. Today she managed 100 meters all on her own.
It's an absolute pleasure and privilege to watch her discover this wondrous world of ours and learn something new all the time.
She won't always listen to me and accept my advice. She will go her own way soon enough. But for now, I'll guide her and show her the way. And she follows.
..well, except when it comes to the finer points of not eating remote controls and shoes.
