A few more dynamic scenes from my recent trip to Hvaler.
On a windy day along the coast, waves surged through channels and curves carved into the granite over thousands of years. I always enjoy photographing these interactions between water and rock - familiar elements, but never quite the same from one moment to the next.

Just being out exploring places like this again felt refreshing. There is something about the coast, the sound of the waves, and the endless variety of shapes and patterns that keeps drawing me back.

After sharing a small preview in my stories, here are two of the first images from my recent trip to Hvaler.

I spent most of my time exploring the smooth coastline and the patterns created where water collects in cracks, channels, and small pools between the rocks. It’s a landscape I’ve photographed before, but I was surprised by how many new compositions I found simply by slowing down and looking closer.

I’m still sorting and editing the full collection, but these two images stood out early in the process and felt like a good place to start.

The last few weeks along the Oslofjord have been a quiet reminder of why I return to these coastal landscapes again and again.

Smooth rocks, dark tidal pools, and small details shaped slowly over time, familiar themes in my work, but seen with fresh eyes after some time away from personal photography.

A few more quiet moments from these spring mornings along the Oslofjord.

After being away from photography for a while, I think what stayed with me the most was not necessarily creating images, but simply being present in places like this again. Watching the first light move across the rocks, following the curves carved by water over time, and feeling everything slow down for a moment.

These coastal details may seem simple at first glance, but they’re the kind of scenes I keep returning to. Familiar shapes, calm reflections, and small patterns that reveal themselves when I take the time to really look.

This spring has felt less about chasing photographs, and more about reconnecting with the process itself.

Finally back out exploring again ➡️
The last months have been a bit challenging personally, and I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed mornings like these until I was standing out on the coast again.
Quiet spring light, smooth rocks shaped by water, and the feeling of slowly reconnecting with both nature and creativity.
These first images from recent outings around the Oslofjord reflect a familiar theme in my work, flow, shapes, texture, and the small details carved over time. But this trip felt different somehow. More meaningful. More calming.
Creating again after a difficult period felt both grounding and fulfilling, and I’m looking forward to sharing more from these spring mornings in the weeks ahead.

Spring usually begins in the same place for me😊🌿
There’s something special about focusing on the details, the lines, shapes, and colours slowly coming back. The two first photos from a recent trip to Oslo botanical garden🤩

After these local explorations, it’s always nice to head west, where everything opens up a bit more and the landscape starts to feel like spring.

A final winter series ➡️
These are among the last winter images I’ll share, all captured in infrared, exploring how light reveals different qualities in the landscape.

I’ve spent some time curating this set so it feels like a small, intentional sequence, moving from the glow in the mist, to the stillness of the water, the structure of the mountains, and finally the movement of snow blowing in the wind.
A quiet and monochrome thread running through these scenes, before a shift to color in my feed.

Spending longer periods in Lofoten gives the chance to revisit familiar scenes in better conditions, and also to explore them in different ways.
Here is one of those classic views, both as I saw it in the moment and as an infrared interpretation.
I’m curious which version resonates more with you. This also wraps up this series of more classic Lofoten scenes! I’ll be sharing some more conceptual work next.
