Exposing kids to vegetable and fruit picking promotes a lot of skills.

🌽She just unlocked another skill: finding the ripe fruit and & choosing the right vegetable.
🫛Expanded her vocabulary as to textures and smells.
🎃 Learned about soil and fertilizers.
🥕 Encouraged her to converse with peers and adults.
🥦 It fostered teamwork and cooperation when we picked together.
🍅 It built patience to me and to her. I had to wait that she had to do it right, waiting for her turn, and finding the right produce.
🫑 Gave her a sense of acheivement that she picked some herself.
🥬 It strengthened her connection with nature as to taking care of living things.

Involving children in the process—whether it’s saving for a car, making family decisions, or celebrating milestones—teaches them deep, lasting lessons that go far beyond the moment. Here’s what they learn:

⸝

🌱 1. Gratitude

They learn to appreciate what they have—especially when they’ve seen the sacrifices, prayers, and hard work behind it.

“We didn’t just get a new car — we worked, prayed, waited, and now we’re thankful.”

⸝

💪 2. Value of Hard Work

When they witness the effort behind goals, they begin to understand that things don’t just happen—they’re earned.

“Mom and Dad worked for this. I can work for my dreams too.”

⸝

🙏 3. Faith in God’s Timing

They see that prayer, patience, and trust in God can lead to real results. It strengthens their own faith.

“We asked God, and He answered in His perfect time.”

⸝

👣 4. Patience and Delayed Gratification

Kids learn that waiting is part of life, and that good things often come to those who don’t give up.

“It wasn’t easy, but we waited—and it was worth it.”

⸝

🛠️ 5. Stewardship and Responsibility

By involving them in budgeting, decision-making, or even just explaining the “why” behind things, they learn how to handle money, make wise choices, and be content.

“We bought used before we bought new—because we were being wise.”

⸝

❤️ 6. Unity and Family Teamwork

They realize that family is a team, and that every member matters in the journey.

“We did this together. Our win is shared.”

All by faith and nothing else. 🙏

Being intentional in exposing your kids to nature means you’re not just letting them “run around outside,” but you’re purposefully creating opportunities for meaningful, enriching experiences in the natural world. ゚viralfbreelsfypシ゚viral

Sometimes people say things about us that simply aren’t true. Sometimes we’re misunderstood. It’s painful — but be reminded that even Jesus was falsely accused, yet He remained faithful, silent when needed, and full of grace.

We know the truth, and more importantly — God knows the truth. Let’s always choose to walk in integrity, not in anger. We should not allow false words to shake our peace or our purpose.

Keep praying for wisdom, for healing, and even for those who speak against you. May we all learn to seek truth and extend grace. 💛

Teaching kids to value things - whether it’s possessions, relationships, time, or experiences—requires consistency, modeling, and age-appropriate conversations. Here are some of our practical ways to teach them:

1. TEACH THEM THE CONCEPT OF EFFORT.
-Explain that things take work to earn or make. For example:
• “Dad worked hard to buy this.”
• Let them help cook a meal or fix something so they understand time and effort = value.

2. DON’t REPLACE THINGS QUICKLY
• If something breaks due to carelessness, don’t replace it right away. Let them experience the natural consequence.
• This builds an understanding that not everything is easily replaceable.

3.ENCOURAGE RESPONSIBILITY
• Assign age-appropriate tasks: keeping toys organized, helping set the table, etc.
• When they’re responsible for something, they learn to take care of it.

4. LIMIT MATERIAL REWARD
• Instead of always buying gifts or giving money, offer experiences, quality time, or praise for effort.
• This helps them value non-material things too.

5. PRACTICE DELAYED GRATIFICATION.
• Teach them to wait and save. Use a “wish list” or saving jars.
• Celebrate when they reach a goal after saving—it reinforces the reward of patience and persistence.

6. TALK ABOUT NEEDS VS. WANTS
• Use shopping trips to teach the difference.
• Involve them in budgeting or choosing between two things to help them prioritize.

7. PRAISE THE RIGHT THINGS
• Say “I like how you took care of your things,” or “That was kind of you to share.”
• Reinforce behaviors that show appreciation, respect, and empathy.

Whatever circumstance you may be, know that the Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still. Never allow the enemy to steal your time, but rather fix your eyes to God. He will take charge.
