After Norway's elimination from the World Cup against England,
Ståle Solbakken gathered all of his players in the locker room to give them a few final words before they went their separate ways following Norway's historic World Cup campaign.
With his voice trembling, he couldn't hold back the tears as he moved everyone with these words:
"I'm so proud of you. It was hard for me to finish the post-match interview because I felt like I was going to cry... Guys, you've made this entire summer perfect for the whole country, and tomorrow we'll give that back to them.
You have been absolutely incredible. You should be so proud of yourselves. I understand that the disappointment is there right now, but when you look back on this, lying on the beach and remembering it, there won't be many bad memories to think about. There simply won't. Thank you so much." 👏👏
