Congratulations to our July contest winner, Kathleen Croft! 🎉 We loved both her beautiful aerial image and the meaningful caption that accompanied her submission:

“This is a capture in the Vermillion Cliffs, Arizona. There are a lot of dinosaur tracks in this area. From above, it resembles a fossilized velociraptor. This area in the Escalante has just been reduced to 10 percent in size. Mining and mineral rights have been sold by the Trump Administration. Preservation is so very important. Our public lands should not be for sale they should remain intact for the people to enjoy and preserve the heritage of the ancestors who once roamed this land.”

At Aerial Media, we believe in the importance of conserving and protecting our public lands for future generations. Photography gives us a unique opportunity to share the beauty of these landscapes and to remind people why preserving them matters. 💙

I finally had the chance to test DJI’s new Electronic ND filter, and I have to say, it’s one of the most useful accessories I’ve ever used for drone videography.

This entire video was shot in Pro mode with the eND set to Auto. Throughout the flight, it automatically adjusted between ND4 to ND32 as the lighting changed, and every transition was completely seamless. It let me focus on flying and composition instead of constantly thinking about exposure or having to land the drone to change filters.

The only downside I’ve noticed is that the filter is fairly heavy. It causes the gimbal to naturally tilt downward, which makes shooting in vertical orientation a bit more challenging. Hopefully that’s something DJI can improve in future versions.

For anyone serious about aerial video, I think this is going to be an indispensable tool. Hopefully DJI can make them more widely available soon!

Fed by glacial meltwater, they constantly split, merge, and carve new paths across the volcanic landscape, creating patterns that are never the same twice. From the air, you can truly appreciate the incredible scale and ever-changing beauty of these remarkable river systems. 🇮🇸

We’ve been incredibly lucky with the weather so far, giving us the perfect conditions to create some truly unforgettable imagery. We can’t wait to share more with you.

Getting excited to return to Iceland this summer! 💙
