Open Call for Dancers

The Águeda City Council is launching an open call for dancers to join “Mind & Heart”, an international creative project that combines contemporary dance and bodypainting 🤍✨

This artistic residency, carried out through AgitLab (a program promoted by the Municipality), culminates in live performances at AgitÁgueda 2026 (July 4th and 5th) and includes:

✔️ Participation grant
✔️ Accommodation
✔️ Intensive training with international artists

The project features the collaboration of world bodypainting champions and offers an immersive experience with workshops, creation, and artistic exploration.

👥 9 dancers will be selected
📅 Residency: June 25th to July 6th (10 days)

Requirements:
– 18+ years old
– Dance/performance experience (min. 3 years)
– Ability to improvise and work in a team
– Availability for artistic nudity performance (with underwear)
– Communication in English

The Águeda City Council is launching an open call for dancers to join “Mind & Heart”, an international creative project that combines contemporary dance and bodypainting 🤍✨

🌑INNER LANDSCAPES RETREAT 12-16 AUGUST LOFOTEN🌕

I would like to share the updates regarding the date, place, and price for the Inner Landscapes Retreat. The retreat's new dates are from August 12-16, 2026, at the Kabelvåg Kalle location. The retreat price has been lowered to accommodate people's needs and ensure that retreats can continue to thrive. BOOKINGS are available until July 10, 2026.

I crafted this retreat as an expression of self-love. Since 2015, I have embarked on transformative journeys to Lofoten, which have deeply inspired me. Its breathtaking landscapes have served as my art studios, while its trails have become my healing walks, and its people have grown to feel like dear friends and family. The long winters have taught me to discover the light within, create rituals, the endless summer days opened me to lose track of time and fully embrace the present.

I warmly invite you to step away from the turmoil of war, fear, and worry, and join me for a transformative retreat of the Inner Landscapes. This gathering, filled with like-minded women, will take place from August 12-16 during the Solar Eclipse. Together, we will navigate endings, experience deep transformation, and celebrate rebirth in the enchanting Arctic Circle—Lofoten islands.

The 4-day retreat will happen right at the solar eclipse in the Arctic Circle—Lofoten Islands. Together we will immerse ourselves in our inner landscapes, gathering worlds guided by adventurous and talented women teachers. You will be able to stay in authentic fishermen's huts right by the sea, rise in movement, meditations, morning swims, nurture yourself with delicious food, and carry your day through creative art, body painting, photography, and nature experiences such as kayaking with a new inspiring women's team that will make this experience a transformative one for only 6 women participants.

Beneath the Surface - A Story of Connection is an event where Magdalena and Vilija share their love for marine life through lectures and a live bodypainting performance.

Ocean conservationist Magdalena Gschnitzer shares her personal encounter with the ocean that made her fall in love with the world in a whole new way — a moment that reconnected her with nature and sparked her journey around the world.
Following the talk, multidisciplinary artist and Body Painting World Champion Vilija Vitkute transforms a human body into a living piece of ocean art in a live painting performance. Together, storytelling, art, and atmosphere create a moment to pause, reflect, and remember something many of us have forgotten:
We are not separate from nature — we are part of it.
This performance is an invitation to feel, reconnect, and rediscover our relationship with the living world.

Over the past eleven years, I have dedicated myself to the passionate exploration of body painting and photography, as well as creating films and independent art projects that delve into themes of the environment and transformative journeys. My artistic endeavors have led me to breathtaking locations such as Norway, Sweden, Iceland, the Italian-Austrian Alps, Portugal, and the Azores Islands.

Creating these artworks demands years of research, perseverance, passion, love, teamwork, and ambition. The journey is often filled with significant rejections, yet one day, you find yourself bringing your vision to life. Keep pushing forward!
