S & C came back to Lofoten, a place they’ve grown to love over the years, to finally make their dream of getting married in these beautiful mountains a reality. 🤍

They had their hearts set on a particular mountain, one that held a special place for them. But with a little surprise on the way, we quickly realised that a different mountain — one a little kinder to S — was the better choice.

And that’s one of the things I love most about elopements.

You make plans, you dream, you imagine how the day will unfold… and then nature, weather, life, or a tiny surprise reminds you to let go and embrace what comes. Being willing to adapt doesn’t mean compromising on the dream. Sometimes, it leads you somewhere even more beautiful than you could have imagined.

And luckily, in Lofoten, you really can’t go wrong. Mountains, fjords, dramatic peaks and endless views seem to be around every corner.

What followed was the kind of evening that makes you remember exactly why elopements are so special. Stunning scenery, good company, even better conversations, happy tears, and a quiet feeling that we were exactly where we were meant to be.

Oh — and a completely unexpected private meeting with two mooses. Because apparently, even the mountains wanted to celebrate with us. 🫎✨

There’s a feeling some photographs have that I don’t really know how to name.

It isn’t perfection. It isn’t everything being in place.

It’s something about the way it feels.

The wind catching the dress. Hair doing whatever it wants.
A moment that isn’t trying to behave for the camera.

And somehow, all of it just lands.

You look at an image and something in you goes, yes.

Maybe it’s the wildness. Maybe it’s the tenderness underneath it. Maybe it’s simply that, for one second, everything feels exactly as it should.

That’s the feeling I’m always chasing.

A few frames from one of the most magical places on earth — home. 🤍

L & H came to Lofoten wanting something that felt both traditional and adventurous,
but most importantly, something that was entirely theirs. Just the two of them, surrounded
by the mountains, ocean and wild landscapes that make these islands so special.

As someone who gets to call Lofoten home, I never want to take places like this for granted.
I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity to photograph couples here and to witness them
experience these landscapes in such a personal way.

For their elopement, we wandered through the mountains, explored the coastline and
made the most of the quiet, wild beauty around us. There’s something pretty incredible
about having the Arctic landscape as your backdrop — and even more so when you get
to share it with the person you love most.

Sometimes I disappear from here for a while.

Not because I’m not working—but because I’m fully present with the couples who trust me with one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

Out here in the Arctic, no two elopements are ever the same. The weather shifts, the light changes, plans evolve. And that’s the magic of it. We don’t chase perfection—we embrace whatever the day brings.

The most unforgettable moments are rarely the ones you could have planned. They’re the wind in your hair, the rain that makes you laugh, the silence between mountain peaks, the feeling of being completely alive together.

My job isn’t just to photograph how your day looked. It’s to preserve how it felt.

Because years from now, I want your photos to bring you right back to that wild, beautiful moment when nothing mattered except the two of you.

There’s something about eloping in Aurland that feels almost impossible to put into words.

The landscape is vast and wild, with massive mountains rising straight from the fjord and views that seem to stretch on forever. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and take it all in. And then there’s the weather—constantly changing, never predictable, and somehow always adding to the experience. Low clouds drift across the mountains, soft rain creates a sense of intimacy, and suddenly the light breaks through, revealing an entirely different scene.

It’s one of the reasons I love elopements here so much. You aren’t tied to a schedule or a venue. You can follow the weather, chase the views, linger in the moments that matter, and create a day that feels completely your own.

These images are just a tiny glimpse into the magic of these two and their day in Aurland. The adventure, the connection, the laughter, and the quiet moments surrounded by some of Norway’s most breathtaking landscapes.

A reminder that sometimes the most unforgettable days are the ones that unfold exactly as they want to.

Everyone talks about the Midnight Sun in Lofoten —
and for good reason. Endless golden light, nights that never truly become dark, and a feeling that anything is possible.

But while summer is just beginning and I’m all into the long summer nights, I can’t help thinking about autumn.
The mountains turn golden, the trees glows in shades of red and orange, and everything goes quiet. The air feels crisper, the landscapes more dramatic, and every hike becomes an adventure through colours that seem almost unreal.

For couples who want more than a traditional wedding day, autumn in Lofoten offers something special. It’s for those who would rather spend their day exploring hidden trails, standing on windswept peaks, discovering places they’ve never seen before, and collecting memories that feel like a true adventure.
